MEMBERSHIP IN AFA
AFA has three levels of membership.
Regular Members
Business or individuals whose principal activity is in the forest industry or who have substantial ownership of forest lands. Regular members are entitled to apply for all AFA services and benefits including:
- The Tongass Timber Trust (TTT) medical insurance plan
- ALA Retirement Plan and Alaska Timber Insurance Exchange
- ATIE workers compensation plan
- Voting rights
- Are eligible to serve on committees and to be elected to AFA Offices and Board of Directors
- Receive all AFA publications and communications
- May attend all Directors' regular member meetings
Associate Members
Businesses or individuals who serve the forest industry and wish to support the AFA. Associate members are entitled to:
- Receive the AFA monthly newsletter
- Receive a copy of the AFA roster of members
- Are eligible to elect Associate Member Officers and one non-voting seat on the AFA Board of Directors.
- May attend all regular membership and committee meetings.
Individual Members
People who desire to demonstrate their support of the efforts of the AFA and the Alaska forest products industry. They are entitled to receive the AFA monthly newsletter and to attend all regular membership and committee meetings.
