The
Chugach National Forest Land Management Plan (CLMP) is currently being
revised. The Chugach Forest covers 5.5 million acres and encompasses the eastern Kenai
Peninsula, all of Prince William Sound, the Copper River Delta and the Katalla area, and
provides ample space and resources to accommodate all users, from primitive recreation to
resource development, without conflict.
The greatest threat to
multiple use management is lack of access. The planning team is proposing to severely
restrict access.
If
the Chugach is to be managed properly, YOU, must be active in the Forest Plan revision
process.
